When learning a new piece of music do not play it right away. Sit in an area away from the piano and read through the music carefully first.

Whenever I work with my students I always tell them that a piece of music is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. You must analyze all of the musical components, in a step by step approach, in order to create one complete work of beautiful sounds.
